DUAL GRAND CHAMPION WORLD SHOW CHAMPION MARSHALL'S JODY
DUAL GRAND CHAMPION WORLD SHOW CHAMPION RICHARDSON'S VICKIE
These two dogs came from the cross mentioned in the above stud ad on Finley River Chief. There were others but these two are the most famous from this litter. They were not only good coon dogs and beautiful hounds they were also very good reproducers.
Finley River Chief was a product of the mating of two of the best hounds of their day. Back in that time period a lot of people didn't promote or think of the importance of the female in the process of getting top hounds that would also produce top hounds.
Finley River Chief's father was SHETLER'S SONNY BOY. A top hound in his day that was still winning hunts as a 10 year old hound. He was a single registered dog but even his father Taylor's Sonny Boy had made quite a name for himself as a top coon hound. Shetler's Sonny Boy produced many fine coon dogs in his day but the most famous one was Finley River Chief.
SHETLER'S SONNY BOY
BIXLER'S SUPREME SALLY
